About Me

Darren is originally from Hackensack, NJ, pursuing a Master’s of Arts in Theater Arts at University of California, Santa Cruz.

Darren's passion for performance began early with numerous school, community, and regional theater affiliations, including Aspire Performing Arts Company, Rosen Performing Arts Center, and Papermill Playhouse.

In addition to training at Skidmore College, Darren spent a semester abroad at the British American Dramatic Academy in their London Theater Conservatory, developing proficiency in Shakespeare, Physical Theater, High Comedy, and Stage Combat.

As a natural leader with a passion for engaging audiences, Darren also works as an arts administrator, centralizing identity in his work. He is a Miranda Family Foundation Fellow and Arts Research Initiative Graduate Fellow.

Darren is currently an MA candidate at UC Santa Cruz where he is researching the intersections of embodiment and decolonial practice in arts leadership. He also serves as the Managing Director of the Barnstorm Theater Company on their campus.
